Day one - Hong Kong

We arrived at 7 p.m. after a long 15 hour flight. We took a taxi to the room. The first taxi driver took us to the wrong destination. It took us a bit to figure out what to do from there. Carl flagged down another taxi that took us to the correct location. This made us 30 minutes late but Carol - the key keeper - was accommodating and very nice. The room is very small. We think the bedroom is 6ft 7in square because Carl can only has one inch clearance. We must enter the bathroom by stepping sideways but it is cozy and well located in the city. It's on the 13th floor - is that good or bad? I think it is good luck. :) We walked around the block to take in the sights we found five 7-11 stores! I bought some milk tea, candy, and water so we are all set. We found a great place to eat dinner that served hot pots, but we ordered fried cuttlefish and spicy shrimp. Both were delicious! The spicy shrimp came with many Thai chili peppers and a handful of peppercorns. Awesome! We came back to the room and slept until I could not sleep anymore. I am way too excited! Tomorrow is the gem show!
